About Ellen
Ellen Bowman has been preserving wedding flowers for over 20 years, and she certainly knows her stuff. She started Save Your Wedding Flowers to offer brides her many years of experience in two easy books.
After preserving wedding flowers for so many brides, Ellen decided to put her 20 years of experience down in words. To help brides get more out of their wedding flower budgets, Ellen wrote Get More From Your Wedding Flower Budget. In this book, she demonstrates how a bride can simply and easily dry and preserve bouquets, church, reception and cake flowers, and use them to make lovely and unique thank-you gifts, home decorations and one-of-a-kind keepsakes for herself, her special friends and family.
After watching so many brides spend a small fortune to preserve their bouquets, she decided to write another book explaining how to do this costly procedure on one’s own, saving hundreds of dollars, and called it Preserve Your Own Bridal Bouquet in Six Easy Steps.
In addition to her bridal experience, Ellen has sold her dried arrangements at art shows and craft fairs all across New York and North Carolina. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Penn State University and has taught art in public and private schools for many years.
